A Co-operative is an autonomous of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise.
Co-operatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of their founders, Co-operative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibilities and caring for others.
The Co-operative principles are guidelines by which Co-operatives put their values into practice.

ODISHA FISHERIES COOPERATIVE CORPORATION LTD

FISHFED Is the only State Level Apex Body Cooperative Organisation functioning formally since 10th Sept, 1991

FISHFED is under the Administrative Control of Fisheries & ARD Department, Govt. of Odisha.

Out of total 11000 PFCS of State 382 Primary Fishermen's Coop. Societies affiliated to FISHFED.

301 Primary Fishermen's Coop. Societies are now functioning actively comprising more than 80000 Fishermen & women as member.

The Head Office is currently working in the 1st Floor, Matsya Sadan, Cuttack Road, Bhubaneswar-751006, Ph No. 0674- 2312770

Presently 38 nos of employees working in the Establishment of Odisha Fisheries Cooperative Corporation Ltd, Bhubaneswar.
